Pavlok's x VŠB-TUO

Technology, innovation and expertise – that's how I would describe Pavlok's. One of the main reasons why I decided to cooperate with VŠB-TUO is our shared passion for technology. The university is full of experienced experts who not only understand their field, but also actively support innovative and start-up projects.

Making lipsticks is a labor-intensive process, especially when it comes to molds. We originally worked with silicone molds, and although we considered switching to metal, we ultimately decided to stick with silicone. Its flexibility and ability to capture detail are key for us.

The main goal was to create a new silicone mold based on an accurate lipstick model.
The solution? CAD modeling. 

Thanks to professionals and friendly cooperation with experts from VŠB-TUO, we converted the physical lipstick product into STP format. This digital model served as the basis for the production of a new silicone mold, which was created by our partners in Italy.

To convert the real product into a digital form as accurately as possible, we used 3D scanning with a non-contact laser scanner Creaform HandySCAN 700. We then edited the obtained data in CAD programs so that engineers could create an accurate model for the production of a new mold. 

And as a nice bonus, we received a 3D model as a souvenir.
